Hindsight Markets

Day trading · US equities · every tick

Trade any day in the market. Live.

Pick a day. The whole US market runs tick by tick, pre-market to after-hours. Scan it, switch symbols on the go, trade it from the Level 2 with hotkeys, and your journal writes itself. Nothing on the screen knows what happens next.

Simulated trading. No real money. Not a broker, not advice.

The cockpit on 2026-08-14 at 09:34 ET: chart, Level 2 across venues, time and sales, the order ticket, position and P&L, news and a watchlist, all on one clock.

Built for day traders and scalpers

The cockpit a DAS trader already knows, with any day in the market behind it.

  • Hotkeys

Buy, sell, cancel, cancel all, flatten, reverse. Every binding carries its own size, order type and route.

  • Every order type

Market, limit, marketable limit, stop, stop-limit, trailing stop, bracket, OCO, MOO, MOC and LOC, with time in force and real routes that charge the exchange's own fees and rebates.

  • Level 2 and the tape

The consolidated book across fifteen venues, venue by venue, with the queue you are standing in. Every print on time and sales, as it traded.

  • Charts

Tick to monthly, eleven chart types, a hundred indicators, drawing tools, session shading, drag to trade.

  • News and fundamentals, point in time

Headlines and filings arrive when they were published. Float, short interest and earnings are what was known by then.

  • Margin and the rules

Buying power, margin, the pattern day trader rule, short-sale restriction, hard to borrow.

Level 2 across venues, time and sales, the order ticket, working orders and position, on LBGJ at 09:35 ET.

Point-in-time scanners

Build a scan from about a hundred criteria: gaps, relative volume at this time of day, float rotation, distance from VWAP, minutes since the high, minutes since news, short interest, days to cover, splits, earnings, sector. Run it against the tick you are on and it only knows what the market knew at that minute.

Then run the same scan across every day in the archive and open the days that hit.

The in-session scanner at 09:41 ET, listing the low-float movers as they stood at that tick, under the chart and Level 2.
The scan builder: float under 20M, change from close over 10%, volume today over 500K, each filter a plain sentence with presets beside it.
The same scan run across every session from August 3 to September 3, 2026: one row per symbol and day, each one opening as a session.

One session, the whole market

A session is a day, not a symbol. Pull a name in from a scanner row, a watchlist or the search box and the chart, book, tape and ticket follow it. One account and one P&L across everything you touch. Half speed to ten times, and seek to any moment.

The command palette with LBGJ typed, offering to add it to the running session.

The journal writes itself

Every trade is recorded with its executions, its slippage against the book, and how far it went for you and against you. Open a trade and you are back at that second with the replay under it, ready to take it again. Playbooks, grades, analytics, compare by period, import and export.

The trades table: six round trips on 2026-08-14 across SXTC and LBGJ, each with its path, entry, exit, hold time, fees, excursion, efficiency and slippage.
One trade opened: the chart with entry and exit drawn, the execution ladder, the auto note, and a button that jumps back to the replay moment.

Filled against the real book

Marketable orders fill against real displayed size, best price first; anything bigger than what's displayed pays modeled impact. Resting orders wait in their routed exchange's real queue (Nasdaq by default). Off-exchange liquidity (≈38.7–45.8% of prints) and hidden size are not modeled.

Questions

Is this real money?
No. Every order is simulated against historical market data. No order reaches an exchange or a broker, and nothing here is financial advice.
Can I trade pre-market and after-hours?
Yes. A session covers pre-market, regular hours and after-hours, and the book, tape and scanners run through all of it.
Do I pick one stock per session?
No. A session is the whole market on one day. Switch symbols from a scanner, a watchlist or the search box as often as you like; your account and P&L follow you.
Do I need a broker account or a market data plan?
No. There is nothing to connect. Everything you see runs inside the one plan.
