Pre-market: a quiet tape, then 7:30
Overnight the stock barely traded. Most minutes had no trades at all. It sat around $0.90, and the 7:06 a.m. trade was just 8 shares at $0.895.
At 7:30 a.m. GlobeNewsWire ran: “Nexus Advanced Technologies Signs Confidential Exclusivity for Proposed $500 Million Reverse Merger”. That one minute traded 444,429 shares, and the price ran from $0.94 to $1.42, the high so far. It closed that minute at $1.18.
The 7:31 minute was even busier: 743,239 shares. A buyer swept 22,817 shares from $1.29 to $1.35 across 7 price levels at 7:31:25. Eight seconds later a seller pushed 17,360 shares down from $1.21 to $1.16.
At 7:32 it pushed again, to $1.31, a lower high under the $1.42 top. An 11,940-share print at $1.28 hit the bid at 7:32:46. By the end of the 7:33 minute more shares had traded than exist in the whole float (2.16 million).
The fade
The selling came in big blocks. At 7:33:02 a seller hit 28,377 shares from $1.12 to $1.05. At 7:35:23 another sold 29,510. At 7:36:03 another sold 20,254 shares through 13 levels.
A bid wall showed up at $0.93 at 7:36:05. It peaked at 37,449 shares at 7:37:18. It was pulled at 7:37:23, right after two sweeps: 23,915 shares from $0.9676 to $0.945, then 20,708 shares from $0.95 to $0.91, which went through it. Only 5,480 shares traded at $0.93. The 7:37 minute low was $0.8165.
Stop It's 7:40. NXAT is at $0.85. It was $1.42 ten minutes ago and is now below the $0.86 previous close. Would you buy here?

It kept falling. At 7:40:28 a seller took 25,641 shares from $0.82 to $0.80 across 21 levels. The minute low was $0.7431. Then a new bid appeared at exactly $0.70.

The wall was still there at 7:53. At 7:53:26 trades at exactly $0.70 began. In 11.7 seconds, 17,014 shares traded at $0.70. A 13,298-share print hit at 7:53:38, and a last sweep sold 16,301 shares from $0.701 to $0.6997. The wall was gone. It was eaten, not pulled. The 7:53 minute low was $0.6625.
It retested $0.6625 at 7:56, then bounced. By 8:00 it was back at $0.71, and it drifted up to $0.76 around 8:20. Volume was thin by then.
The open
5.32 million shares traded before the bell. It opened at $0.78, below the $0.86 previous close. It slid to $0.68 by 9:39, then bounced to $0.73 by 9:43.

What to take from it
- The headline top was the day's high. $1.42 came in the first minute of the news, and the stock ended at $0.75, 47% below it.
- After the top, the next push stopped lower. $1.42 at 7:30 a.m., then $1.31 at 7:32 a.m.
- A big bid wall is a level, not a floor. The $0.70 wall stood for about 13 minutes, then sellers ate it in about 12 seconds.
