- Float traded 36x
- Ask wall break
- Bid wall break
- Ran and faded
Pre-market: the float traded by 4:18 a.m.
The official previous close was $1.12. The first trades on the 15th were at $1.20, already above it. For the first ten minutes the stock sat near $1.20 on thin volume.
At 4:14 a.m. it woke up. From about $1.27 it ran to $2.90 at 4:18 a.m. It traded through $2.00 at 4:16. By the end of the 4:17 a.m. minute, more shares had traded than exist in the whole float (926,260).
It held between $2.18 and $2.78 for the next 45 minutes. The high of that stretch was $2.78 at 4:25 and the low was $2.18 at 5:01. Then at 5:05 a.m. it started again, from about $2.25.
It made $3.40 at 5:21 a.m., the high so far, before the bell. That was 204% above the previous close. By 5:36 it had traded as low as $2.82. 25.34 million shares traded before the open.
There were two more pushes after that. It reached $2.97 at 5:41 a.m. and $2.80 at 5:56 a.m. Both stopped well under $3.40.
The 8:00 headline
At 8:00 a.m. GlobeNewsWire ran: “Biodexa Enters Into Warrant Exercise Transaction for $2.3 Million in Gross Proceeds.” The stock closed the 7:59 minute at $1.98. By 8:02 it had traded at $1.61.
It kept sliding. At 8:03, an ask wall of 109,824 shares appeared at $1.60, about 12% of the float. It was pulled at 8:30. At 8:27 a 6-K was filed, and at 8:33 seven 424B3 filings came in.
By 9:05 it was at $1.09, $2.31 under the high. From 9:03 a large bid wall sat at $1.00.

As the wall went, a new one appeared on the other side. From 9:26 a.m. someone was bidding for a lot of stock at exactly $1.26. It peaked at 106,892 shares at 9:29, about 12% of the float.
Stop It's 9:30. BDRX opens at $1.28. A bid of over 100,000 shares sits at $1.26, two cents below. Would you buy here?
Press play: the real Level 2, time and sales and chart stop at 9:30 a.m. ET for your call, then show what happened. The clip starts at 9:27 a.m. ET.
At 9:30:37 the trades started printing at $1.26. In 3.7 seconds, 89,304 shares traded at exactly $1.26, and the bid wall was gone at 9:30:41. It wasn't pulled. It was traded through. The 9:30 candle opened at $1.28, ranged from $1.22 to $1.33 and closed at $1.24.
A buy sweep at 9:32:49 of 36,105 shares ran from $1.30 to $1.32, and the 9:32 candle's high was $1.34. After that it drifted. Another ask wall, over 100,000 shares at $1.26, stood from 9:54 to 9:57. The stock was at $1.20 by 9:56.
The low after the open came at 10:07, just under $1.14.
The 10:51 spike
After about an hour between roughly $1.14 and $1.22, it moved at 10:46. At 10:51:24 a buy sweep took 65,190 shares from $1.27 to $1.33 across 7 levels, and 13 seconds later another bought 46,090 shares up to $1.35. By 10:55 the price touched $1.43, its highest since 8:06 a.m.
It did not hold. A sell sweep at 10:56:08 took 45,303 shares from $1.41 to $1.39, and the 10:56 candle's low was about $1.31. The 11:00 candle closed at about $1.26, near where the 10:51 sweep began.
The rest of the day
The afternoon was quiet and mostly between $1.22 and $1.33. At 3:46 p.m. the $1.20 bid wall (up to 101,120 shares) was pulled. A buy sweep of 40,385 shares ran $1.27 to $1.30 seconds later.
It closed at $1.33, 61% under the $3.40 high. That high came before the bell, at 5:21 a.m., 166% above the $1.28 regular-session open. After hours it touched $1.40 at 5:03 p.m.
The regular session traded 7.26 million shares, about 8 times the float. For the whole day, 33.23 million shares traded: the float changed hands about 36 times. Relative volume was 7.8. Most of that volume came before the open.
What to take from it
- Where the volume trades matters. About 25 of the 33 million shares traded before the open, and the $3.40 high came at 5:21 a.m. The regular session was much smaller.
- The book can be thin or deep behind the screen price. At the $3.40 high a 5,000-share buy cost $97 over the screen. Seconds after the $1.25 wall broke at 9:26 it cost nothing extra.
- Later pushes stopped lower. After $3.40 came $2.97 and then $2.80, and the stock closed at $1.33, 61% under the high.
Why it ran
News and SEC filings for BDRX published between the previous session's close and the first minute BDRX traded 20% above it, at 4:14 a.m. ET, newest first, from the same feeds the replay shows.
No news found before the move.
How it traded
Gap, run and fade. It gapped up 14.3% to 1.28 at the open, ran from the open to the high of 1.43 in 85 minutes, then gave back 67% of that move by 4:00 p.m., trading at 1.33.
| Time (ET) | What happened | Watch it |
|---|---|---|
| 4:14 a.m. | First trade 20% above the previous close of 1.12 | |
| 4:17 a.m. | Volume since 4:00 a.m. passes the whole float, 926,260 shares | |
| 5:21 a.m. | Pre-market high, 3.40 | |
| 5:21 a.m. | High of the day to the close, 3.40 | |
| 9:30 a.m. | The open: 1.28, up 14.3% from the previous close | |
| 3:59 p.m. | Last trade before the 4:00 p.m. close, 1.33, 60.9% below the high |
The shape is a fixed rule, not a judgement: gapped 10% or more at the open, ran 10% or more from the open to the high, and faded if it gave back 30% or more of that move by the close.
The day in numbers
- Volume, from the one-minute bars: 25.34 million shares before the 9:30 a.m. open (76%), 1.66 million in the first 30 minutes (5%), and 6.23 million in the rest of the day to 8 p.m. (19%).
- Float rotation, the volume since 4 a.m. against the float of 926,260 shares: past it once at 4:17 a.m., twice at 4:21 a.m., three times at 4:29 a.m.
