What to take from it
- Here, day two was far bigger than day one. Day one closed at $4.73. Day two reached $19.93.
- A big bid is not a floor. The bid at $11.00 peaked at 37,394 shares. When the price came to it, 14,611 shares traded at $11.00 in one second and it was gone.
- Halt reopens cost more than the screen says. The book is thinnest right after a reopen. Here a 5,000-share buy at the reopens ran $197 to $2,700 over the screen in the fills shown.
Why it ran
News and SEC filings for FGI published between the previous session's close and the first minute FGI traded 20% above it, at 5:17 a.m. ET, newest first, from the same feeds the replay shows.
