The day, step by step

Before the news

On July 31 EDBL traded between $2.25 and $2.51 on 114,708 shares. The official close was $2.33.

The morning of the 3rd was quiet. Trades were rare and the price drifted between about $2.17 and $2.38. The low of that stretch was $2.17 at 6:34 a.m. The stock had a float of just 1.35 million shares.

At 8:01 a.m. the company filed an 8-K. In the 8:02 minute 10,004 shares traded and the price went from $2.30 to $2.47. At 8:03 it touched $2.51. By 8:12 it was back at $2.35.

8:12: after the 8-K

Stop It's 8:12. EDBL is at $2.35. An 8-K came out at 8:01, the stock ran to $2.51 and gave most of it back, and volume has dried up. Would you buy here?
