The day before
On October 7, BIAF was quiet. It traded between $5.87 and $6.29 on 42,407 shares and closed at $6.16. That is a tiny float (1.16 million shares) on very low volume.
Pre-market: the headline at 8:00
The first trades on the 8th were at $6.06 at 4:42 a.m., below the $6.16 close. For more than three hours it barely traded.
At 8:00 a.m. this headline came out: “bioAffinity Technologies Announces Notification of Japanese Patent Allowance Covering Noninvasive CyPath® Lung and AI-Built Algorithm”. The 8:00 bar opened at $6.15.
It ran to $7.65 at 8:06 a.m. Then it kept going: $8.20 at 8:10 a.m. By 8:14 a.m., more shares had traded than exist in the whole float (1.16 million).
The pre-market high was $8.34 at 8:14 a.m. It reversed hard. By 8:18 a.m. it was at $6.50, down 22% from the high. At 8:30 a.m. the company filed an 8-K (a current report). From 8:30 until the open the price drifted between about $6.16 and $6.98. 2.41 million shares traded before the bell, about twice the float.
The wall at $8.00
It opened at $6.38, up 4% from the previous close. By 9:44 it was at $7.54, up 18% from the open. It pulled back to $6.82 at 9:50 and then turned up again.
At 9:54 a.m. someone started offering stock at exactly $8.00, just under the $8.34 pre-market high. The 9:54 minute traded 180,015 shares, the biggest volume since the open to that point.
Stop It's 10:01. BIAF is at $7.62. A large block of shares has been offered at exactly $8.00 since 9:54, and the pre-market high is $8.34. Would you buy here?

One buy order swept 27,636 shares from $8.00 to $8.19 across 20 price levels.
The 10:01 minute went to $8.36, over the pre-market high. It kept climbing. A buy sweep of 18,437 shares ran from $8.98 to $9.13 at 10:08:07, and the high so far was $9.37 at 10:08. That minute traded 320,143 shares. Within five minutes it was back down to $8.13.
A lower high, and more stock stacked above
It bounced again. At 10:18 it pushed to $8.95, a lower high under the $9.37 top. After that it did not trade above $8.95 before the 12:07 halt.
Meanwhile more stock was stacked above. An ask wall at $9.00 showed up at 10:14. Another at $10.35 appeared at 10:17 and was pulled at 11:57. A wall of 50,157 shares at $9.49 appeared at 11:57 and was pulled at 12:07.

Stop It's 12:17. BIAF has been halted for ten minutes since its last trade at $7.09, and the financing headline came out as the halt began. Trading is about to reopen. Would you buy the reopen?
Press play: the real Level 2, time and sales and chart stop at 12:17 p.m. ET for your call, then show what happened. The clip starts at 12:14 p.m. ET.
It reopened at 12:17:15 at $6.30, 11% below where it stopped. The opening print was one trade of 53,649 shares on Nasdaq. The 12:17 minute ranged from $6.04 to $6.93 and traded 271,702 shares.
The rest of the day
It sank to $5.66 at 12:30, bounced to $6.82 at 1:09 p.m., and at 1:30 a second press release about the financing went out. The afternoon was quiet and drifting, with $5.50 the low after the open, at 3:08 p.m.
It closed at $5.65, below the $6.16 previous close and 40% under the $9.37 high.
In the regular session, 9.86 million shares traded. Counting pre-market and after hours, 12.35 million shares traded: the float changed hands about 11 times, at about 14 times its normal volume.
What to take from it
- A wall just under the pre-market high can break in a blink. Here 39,716 shares at $8.00 traded in about a tenth of a second, and the stock ran another $1.37 in seven minutes.
- A halt can reopen lower than it stopped. The stock stopped at $7.09 and reopened at $6.30. A market buy at the reopen cost $361 more than the screen showed.
- After the top, the next push stopped lower. $9.37 at 10:08, then $8.95 at 10:18. The stock closed at $5.65, below the previous close.
