The rest of the day
It did not get back near $3. The afternoon high was $2.59 at 1:50 p.m. It then slid, with a drop to $2.20 at 3:20 p.m. It closed at $2.40, 25% under the $3.20 high.

What to take from it
- Most of the volume came in the first 20 minutes after the reopen. From 10:37 to 10:56 about 3.1 million of the session's 4.75 million shares traded, after a slow morning.
- On this reopen, a market buy cost more than the screen showed. The book was thin: 20 shares at the screen price, and a 5,000-share order cost $403 more than the screen price.
- These bid walls did not hold. The $2.50 and $2.40 bids vanished in seconds, and the $2.21 bid was eaten in under a second.
