What to take from it
- A spike with no news in the data can fade as fast as it rose. LXEH hit $3.39 at 4:16 a.m., then was back at $1.98 by 4:24, and later pushes reached only $3.06 and $2.99.
- Walls on the book can sit there for hours without the stock trading through them. The 75,337-share ask at $2.52 was up from 6:08 a.m., the stock never traded up to it, and it was pulled at 12:25 p.m. with the stock near $1.52.
- A halt reopen can be a poor place to get filled. After the 2:52:45 reopen at $2.43, a 5,000-share market buy would have averaged $132 above the screen price, and the stock was halted again within a minute.
