Pre-market: quiet, then the 8:00 headline
The previous close was $5.35. Overnight trading was thin. The 4:00 a.m. bar was 4 shares at $5.34. Most minutes had no trades at all. At 5:57 a.m. one trade went through at $5.29.
At 8:00 a.m. Business Wire ran: “bioAffinity Technologies Announces Grant of Hong Kong Patent for Company's CyPath® Lung Noninvasive Lung Cancer Diagnostic.” The 8:00 minute traded up to $6.94, on 28,429 shares. The next five minutes swung hard. It dipped to $5.73 at 8:02, then hit $7.18 at 8:05. At 8:30 the company filed an 8-K, a current report.
It faded to $5.60 at 8:16 and chopped around $6 for twenty minutes. Then from 8:35 it started up again. It reached $7.50 at 8:42.

The open and the wall at $9.00
It opened at $6.94, up 30% from the close. It dipped to $6.45 at 9:45, the low since the open, and then spent most of the morning between about $6.55 and $7.45.
From 10:29 a.m., someone was offering stock at exactly $9.00. It grew to 22,281 shares at 10:46 a.m., about 2% of the float. The stock sat near $6.80 then, well below it. Over the next hour and a half, the wall stayed in place while the price crept up.
Around 11:45 it started to climb. From $7.11 at 11:45 it touched $8 at 11:52 and $8.75 by 12:12.
Stop It's 12:13. BIAF is at $8.75. A wall of up to 22,000 shares has been offered at $9.00 since 10:29, just above, and the pre-market high is $9.01. Would you buy here?
Press play: the real Level 2, time and sales and chart stop at 12:13 p.m. ET for your call, then show what happened. The clip starts at 12:10 p.m. ET.
Here is what happened. At 12:13:48 trades printed at $9.00. In under a second, 15,145 shares traded at exactly $9.00 and the wall was gone. It wasn't pulled. Buyers ate it. A single buy order of 29,316 shares ran from $8.96 to $9.11 across 16 price levels. That also cleared the pre-market high of $9.01.
After the wall
It pulled back to $8.47 and then jumped again. At 12:21 a bar went from $8.63 to $9.63 on 170,486 shares.
Stop It's 12:25. BIAF is at $9.77 and has gone up about a dollar in four minutes. The pre-market high of $9.01 is behind it. Would you chase it here?
Press play: the real Level 2, time and sales and chart stop at 12:25 p.m. ET for your call, then show what happened. The clip starts at 12:22 p.m. ET.
Here's what happened. The 12:25 minute ran to $10.70. At 12:26:12 it was halted (a volatility pause) with the last trade at $10.70. It reopened at 12:31:12 at $10.70, and a single print of 27,920 shares went through at $10.70 that second.
At 12:32 it hit $11.00, the high of the day. That was up 106% from the $5.35 close. A buy of 14,283 shares ran from $10.90 to $11.00 in that minute. Then it turned. By 12:34 it was at $9.88.
The rest of the day
It held mostly in the $9s for the next hour, then slid. It was $8.50 at 2:10 p.m. and $7.73 at 2:46 p.m., down 30% from the top.
There was one more push. At 3:51 p.m. it reached $9.48, a lower high under the $11.00 top. The 3:59 p.m. bar closed at $8.85.
After hours it hit $9.85 at 4:26 p.m. but was back near $8.90 for most of the evening. Regular session volume by the close was 7.12 million shares. With pre-market and after hours, the whole day was 11.04 million, about 9.5 times the float, at about 3.4 times normal volume.
What to take from it
- The ask wall at $9.00 was a level, not a ceiling, on this day. Here $9.00 held for about an hour and 45 minutes, then was gone in under a second.
- Chasing right after a wall breaks or a halt reopens costs more than the screen says. Here it cost $846 and $1,492 on 5,000 shares.
- After the top, the next push stopped lower. $11.00 at 12:32 p.m., then $9.48 at 3:51 p.m.
