Back above $3

Press play: the real Level 2, time and sales and chart stop at 1:32 p.m. ET for your call, then show what happened. The clip starts at 1:29 p.m. ET.
The 1:32 minute hit $3.85, the high of the day, up 337% from the $0.88 previous close. Then a sell order ran 44,020 shares down from $3.73 to $3.65 across 9 levels at 1:32:47.

At 1:44 p.m. it pushed to $3.60, a lower high under the $3.85 top. From there it slid. At 2:01 it was down to $2.05, and at 2:01:50 it was halted a fifth time. In the regular session, 16.34 million shares traded: the float changed hands about 7 times, at 70 times its normal volume.
After hours
Just after the close, it slid to $1.41 by 4:04 p.m. At 4:05 p.m. Accesswire ran: “DataMEDS, AI. Acquires Helomics AI Cancer Diagnostics Lab and Precision Oncology CRO Businesses from Axe Compute”. The 4:05 minute went from $1.41 to $1.70.
After hours it was back to $1.40 at 4:16 p.m., then ran to $2.70 by 5:32 p.m., up 93%. About 5.51 million shares traded after hours.
What to take from it
- A halt can reopen higher than it stopped. The 1:10 p.m. halt stopped at $1.78 and reopened at $2.00. The 1:20 halt stopped at $2.40 and reopened at $2.67.
- Reopens and the high often filled worse than the screen showed. Six of seven 5,000-share test buys cost $76 to $233 more than the screen price; the 1:30:40 reopen filled right at it.
- After the top, the next push stopped lower. $3.85 at 1:32 p.m., then $3.60 at 1:44 p.m. The stock closed at $1.63, 58% below the high.
