The rest of the day

Through the close, 21.46 million shares traded, counting pre-market: the float changed hands about 31 times, at 48 times its normal volume. The regular session was 8.75 million of that and the pre-market 12.71 million. After hours, 468,651 more traded, and the price reached $1.80 at 5:43 p.m.
What to take from it
- A halt can reopen far from where it stopped, and the reopen fill is worse than the screen. The 12:36 halt stopped at $1.79 and reopened at $1.12. A 5,000-share buy a second later averaged $1.31 against $1.19 on screen.
- A wall breaking is not the same as a breakout. The $4.20 wall was eaten in 5.3 seconds, and the same minute reached $4.25, dipped to $3.69 and closed at $3.82.
- Here the high came before the open and none of the move lasted. $4.85 at 7:03 a.m., then $4.25 at 9:53, then a close at $1.60, 67% below the high.
