What to take from it
- After the top, the next push stopped lower. $8.33 at 2:32 p.m., then $8.27 at 2:36 p.m.
- A halt can reopen lower than it stopped, and the book can be thin when it does. The 2:44 p.m. halt stopped at $6.42 and reopened at $6.01, and a 5,000-share buy cost $939 more than the screen showed.
- A big bid is not a floor. The 104,656-share bid at $3.15 was eaten in under a second, and the stock closed at $3.03, 64% below the $8.33 high.
