Pre-market: the float traded by 7:15 a.m.
RMCF closed the day before at $0.67. It is a thin stock. Normal volume is about 16,000 shares a day, and the float is 6.51 million shares. Our data shows no news headline for the 12th.
Almost nothing traded until 6:49 a.m. At 6:49 it jumped to $0.97, and the next two minutes brought 70,043 and then 135,978 shares. It slid back into the low $0.80s, dipped to $0.70 at 7:02, and chopped there for about 20 minutes.
At 7:09 a.m. it traded through $1.00 for the first time on the day. By 7:15 a.m., more shares had traded than exist in the whole float. It then went almost straight up. The 7:21 candle hit $2.38 on 2.66 million shares, and the high so far was $2.48 at 7:22 a.m., up 269% from the previous close.
Within three minutes it was down to $1.49. It bounced to $1.76 at 7:27 a.m. and fell to $1.39 at 7:28 a.m., down 21% from that bounce. Before the bell, 54.27 million shares had traded, about eight times the float.
The open
It opened at $1.74, up 159% from the previous close. The first minute dipped to $1.62, and the 9:31 candle went down to $1.57. By 9:37 it was at $1.50, well under the open.

Sixteen seconds after the reopen, at 9:49:10, it was halted again. A 348,582-share bid wall sat at $1.93 during the pause, 5.3% of the float. It was pulled at 9:50:45, before the stock traded again.
The second reopen was at 9:54:10, at $2.00. Two buy sweeps (83,845 and 84,536 shares) took it from $2.03 to $2.15. At 9:54:25 it was halted a third time, with the last trade at $2.15. That is the highest price of the regular session so far. It is a lower high under the $2.48 pre-market top.
The third reopen
Stop It's 9:59. RMCF has been halted since 9:54 with the last trade at $2.15. Trading is about to resume. Would you buy here?
Press play: the real Level 2, time and sales and chart stop at 9:59 a.m. ET for your call, then show what happened. The clip starts at 9:56 a.m. ET.
It reopened at 9:59:25 at $1.91, 11% below where it stopped. Within 15 seconds it was at $1.76, and at 9:59:40 it was halted a fourth time.
This is the part a chart doesn't show. One second after the reopen, an ask wall appeared at $1.76. By 9:59:38 it held 531,403 shares, 8.2% of the float. It was pulled at 10:01:55, while trading was still halted.
The stock came back at 10:04:40 at $1.64, with 223,411 shares printing at that price. The 10:04 candle fell to $1.53.
Three more halts and the slide
It held $1.53 to $1.72 for a while. By 10:12 a.m. the volume was ten times the float. At 10:12:55 a sell order of 77,203 shares went through six levels, from $1.62 to $1.57.
At 10:14 an ask wall of 271,932 shares formed at $1.47 (4.2% of the float). At 10:14:37 it was halted with the last trade at $1.47. The wall was pulled at 10:18:22, and the stock reopened at 10:19:37 at $1.47.

Seven halts were done by 10:31. After that, a sell order of 76,077 shares went through six levels from $1.42 to $1.37 at 10:39:41, and the 10:39 candle dropped to $1.32. The low after the open was $1.22 at 10:48 a.m.
The afternoon: a quiet grind and the last halt
The afternoon was much quieter. It worked between about $1.40 and $1.69, with the afternoon high of $1.69 at 1:09 p.m.
At 1:11 p.m. it was halted for the eighth time, with the last trade near $1.48. It reopened at 1:16:32 at $1.44, below where it stopped. A 5,000-share market buy a second later would have paid $23 more than the $1.46 on the screen, which showed only 2,658 shares.
From 1:41 p.m. an ask wall built at $1.65. It peaked at 244,665 shares (3.8% of the float) at 3:36 p.m. At 3:10 p.m. a sell order of 94,104 shares went through seven levels, from $1.46 to $1.40. It closed at $1.52, 39% below the $2.48 high.
Pre-market and regular session together came to 84.48 million shares (30.21 million of them in the regular session): the float changed hands about 13 times, and whole-day volume was over 5,000 times normal. It was halted 8 times.
After hours
After the close it jumped to $1.66 at 4:06 p.m. and fell to $1.17 by 4:07 p.m., down 30%. The thin after-hours trading (1.68 million shares) kept swinging in the minutes after that.
What to take from it
- A halt can reopen lower than it stopped. The 9:54 a.m. halt stopped at $2.15 and the reopen came back at $1.91.
- Big ask walls can appear within seconds of a reopen. A 531,403-share wall at $1.76 formed one second after the 9:59 reopen. The next halt came 15 seconds later.
- After the top, the next push stopped lower. The high was $2.48 at 7:22 a.m., then $2.15 at 9:54 a.m. The stock closed at $1.52.
