What to take from it
- A dead regular session can sit on top of a big after-hours move. Here 7,451 shares traded from 9:30 to 4:00, then 11.9 million traded after the bell.
- Watch what happens after a filing or headline after the close. The headline came at 4:05 p.m., the 10-Q at 4:07 p.m., and the price hit $1.25 in the 4:09 minute.
- On a thin stock, the screen price is not what you pay. At 4:23 a.m., 96 shares were offered at $1.13, and 5,000 shares would have averaged $1.15.
