What to take from it
- A halt can reopen far above where it stopped. The 11:43 halt stopped at $10.95 and reopened at $13.15.
- Reopens are thin. In the seconds after a halt, a 5,000-share order cost between $0 and $4,562 more than the screen showed. At 12:04 the figure was $4,562.
- A big wall can vanish just before a halt ends. The $12.00 wall was pulled at 11:58:30; the stock reopened at $13.15, hit $13.98, and was at $8.80 by 12:04, with no later bar trading above $8.80.
