What to take from it
- The cost of the same order changed by the minute. A 5,000-share buy after the 12:58 reopen cost $0 over the screen. After the 1:17 reopen it cost $1,290 more, and after the 1:27 reopen $1,835 more. On this day, most reopens had thin books in the first second.
- A wall is not a promise. The $6.43 ask wall was pulled one second after a halt began, and the $4.17 bid wall was pulled with 2,250 shares traded at that price.
- After the top, each push stopped lower. $7.67 at 1:27 p.m., then $7.37, then $7.24, and the close was $4.08.
